Slivered almonds

Sliced bacon

Dr. Pete's Chipotle Grilling Sauce

Toast shivered almonds to golden brown, let cool.  While cooling, preheat oven to 400 degrees.  Stuff dried dates with almond pieces: wrap each almond with a cut piece of bacon big enough to wrap around the stuffed date.  Place on cookie sheet in preheated oven.  You may want to line pan with non-stick foil.  Bake until bacon is cooked, about 7-10 minutes.   Remove from oven; let cool; then glaze each date with Dr. Pete's Chipotle Grilling Sauce.  Place on serving tray and serve with toothpicks.  Oh, those chewy and crunchy dates wrapped in bacon and topped with the sweet smoky Chipotle Grilling Sauce...your guests may never leave!
